welcome

to a journey thousands of years back

The Sencelles-Costitx Archaeological Route is a journey thousands of years back, where talayots, sanctuaries, caves and navetas bear witness to a legacy that shaped the landscape and the life of the prehistoric communities of central Mallorca.

Visiting the route is

an experience

you will always remember

All the sites are free, they are permanently open and you can do the route on foot, by bike or by car.

our proposal

Following a chronological thread, we suggest starting with Cave of Camp del bisbe, used during the Naviform period as a collective funerary and ritual site.

You can go on to visit the magnificent Son Fred Talaiot, part of a settlement from the Talayotic period. From there you can continue to the neighbouring municipality of Costitx to discover the post-Talayotic Son Corró Sanctuarie, where the famous bulls of Costitx were found and, going back in time, you can visit the navetas of the Settlement of Turassot.

Finally you can enjoy three more talayots: the one at Binifat and the square talayots of Can Xim in Cascanar.
